Our History
Humans vs. Zombies was brought to SCAD in the Spring of 2009 and it's been played every year since. Well known for its odd campus layout and story driven games, SCAD HvZ is agreed to be one of the more unique and engaging HvZ games out there.
The game at SCAD was founded and run by Josh Evans, Kevin Deal, Jeff Pruitt, and Tim Schneider after Pruitt pointed Evans to the Goucher documentary. Acting as a crack legal team, they convinced the administration that, as Evans put it, HvZ was "both delicious AND nutritious." Their effort was rewarded with both the permission to have the game and the reversal of a long-standing ban on NERF blasters.
After the original crew stepped down, the duties were split into three committees; Gameplay, Media and Moderators. Other Coordinators since the game's inception here are: Ryan DowlingSoka, Taylor Smith, Melissa Andrews, Zane Friday, Elie Lehman, Kristina Ness, Macauley Hopper, Paul Bishai, Jon Springs, Brady Lauderback, Kendall Snow, Daniel Pomidor, Chloe Mortensen, Phayne Carroll, Ethan Mullett, Leonard Nguyen, Robyn Whaples, Wyatt Johnson, Basha Cole, Bashira Cole, Galen Pischke, Dylan Klauber, Nicholas Gogal, Cal Sabatini, Julia Yarbrough, and currently lead by Marcus Siniscalchi, Nathaniel Cartwright, and Haden Ezekiel Felix.
